Can a police person take the vehicle key forcefully during checkings?

According to the Motor Vehicle Act, 2019, no police officer irrespective of their ranking, cannot take away your keys from your two or four-wheel vehicle. Also, only the ranks of ASI (1 star), SI (2 star) and Inspector (I) can give away challan.
