Exam Tips !!!

Most Important thing is the CONCEPT. You must show that you have clear understanding about the question asked & its answer.

Other relevant points are :

1) Quote relevant sections of the Act;

2) Quote amendments, if any;

3) Quote relevant e-form numbers;

4) Quote relevant case laws;

5) Always answer point-wise, dont write bulk paras;

6) Try quote few recent case laws;

7) Try to attempt all questions;

8) Read the uestion carefully;

Unfortunately, most of the univs have no criteria on how to set the paper or how to evaluate the answersheets. If you look at previous yrs question papers, you will find most of the Univs have a pattern of "Answer any 5 questions out of 10" and all the questions are essay type long answer questions.

Every copy checker has his own idea of what the answer should contain. Even the questions are ambiguous. Sometimes the question means something in English and its translation in native language means something else. So what to do?

The bottom line is, you have 35 minutes to answer a question. So basically, you have to write and write and write what ever you know for a question in 35 minutes. In these 35 minutes, you may try to pack in some definitions, sections, some cases or whatever. That's the key. Nothing else.

You might want to check some notes that I prepared on www.hanumant.com
