Legal status of unregistered will.

Is the legal status of the unregistered will same as that of a registered will ?

Registration of WILL is not compulsory. According to my opinion It is almost the same when it comes to legal status. Both regd and unregd WILL can be challenged by the aggrieved party.

A valid will required no stamp duty and nmo registration it simply requires signature of testator and two witnesses Status and validity of registered and unregistered will is same and both can be challenged.

Registration of Will is not at all compulsory. However, to avoid future legal issues it is advisable to get the Will registered.

The last will executed by a Testator with two witnesses and the signature of the scribe is valid.
