Why 'if'? Is this not a realtime issue?

It is a realtime issue. The use of "if" should have been avoided by me  but the issue is a live one.

Has the employee been called by the police? What do you mean by GD?

This is a general diary in a police station

A general diary (GD) case in a police station is a record of all important activities and incidents that take place in the stationIt's also known as the Station Diary or Daily Diary.

Supreme Court Rulings: In CBI v. Tapan Kumar Singh (2003), the Supreme Court ruled that a General Diary Entry may be treated as FIR in an appropriate case, where it discloses the commission of a cognisable offence.

Thus considering the nature or seriousness of the complaint she can decide.
