Cough syrup

Respected Sirs,

Please suggest,

As I read somewhere, that cough syrups like Phensidyl or Corex, are banned without papers. If a Transport firm carrying miscellaneous goods, books the same, which is booked under disguise of some other material, can he be booked under NDPS act ? I read somewhere that such cough syrups are booked under Drugs and Cosmetics act. Please help.

Dear Punit,

medicines are not covered under NDPS Act. There are different drugs laws under which medicines are covered.

Dear Punit,

NDPS not applicable. You can make complaint to drugs controller of your area.
