All other petitions other than original suits are criminal misc.pertitions( like custody, maintenance).  Criminal revision is where revision is sought from the decree passed in the same court and where no appeal lies.

dear Rashi, every high court has its own rules and regulations regulating the procedure.

the expressions u ve mentioned in your query can be explained after having referrence to such rules.

pls have a look at those rules, you will get a lot of practical knowledge out of it....must for every lawyer.
