Daughter's right's

Is it true that daughter would get benefit of the ,( Hindu Succession Act, 1956 (‘the Act’) was amended by the Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act, 2005 (‘the Amendment Act’) with effect from 9th September, 2005 )Amendment Act only if her father is alive at the time of coming into force of the Amendment Act?

Now daughters too have got equal right in ancestral property.  If the property of the father is self earned then no one claim during his lifetime, but if it is ancestral then daughters can claim any time whether father is alive or dead. Also please wait for what other lnd experts says.
