Supreme court has clearly stated that lawyers, doctors and architects if staying in their residential flat can conduct professional activities in that flat using 25% of FAR (floor area ratio), but only for running their personal office or personal clinic in its restricted sense as clarified in its judgment. No other commercial activity can be allowed in a residential flat. Ref: Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, NOIDA & Anr. Vs. Mange Ram Sharma (D) through LRs. and anr.
