divorce close and reopen

I have my divorce case running for last 4 years wherein evidence has not started yet. I filed it in 2008 but due to xfer to her state via SC I had to waste lot of time. I m really tired. My question is that if I notepress the case at this point, is it legal to file it again in another (3rd) city later say a year down the line which also falls in jurisdiction. Her city is abt 700 km from my place and hence very difficult to travel.
