Domestic violence

Since my marriage ,i along with my wife has been tortured and harrassed by my parent with the help of my sister and son-in-law..To resist us from taking legal step they are trying to intimidate us sayng they would instead go to police station  and register a false case of "violence against parents" and sent me to jail.I am an Gov employee and i fear of losing my job.Is my fear justified or i should file an NC prior to help me incase they do the same???Plz help
