Dear experts this is my bothers situation for which our family has been dealing with and worrying about so I need some suggestions from you all.
He was married 7 years(2007) ago and within a month her wife have left the house unreasonably .And after 5 yrs in 2012 they filed a case for domestic violence and we had settle last year with the agreement of not filling any allegation and case against each other later but a mutual consent divorce will be signed by both the parties.We have given a wholesome amount of money as permanent settlement.
Now this year,they have filed a divorce case against him and to give alimony.
As per to my knowledge we have paid the wholesome amount of money to get a permanent settle for this problem.
So my question are
First
Can she filed a divorce case which is not mutual after signing that we (both parties) can only filed a mutual divorce case?
Secondly
Do in mutual divorce an alimony can be demanded?
Lastly
Do the demand of a divorce with an alimony a valid one as they have taken a permanent settlement money from us ?
