Maintenance u/s 125 Cr P C if decreed, you can not  be escaped from it, you should respect it. It has become your duty to obey the orders or you have option also to appeal against this. I would say to consult local lawyer for appeal of revision if not satisfied with the judgment.

@S.K. Karn

Thank you very much for your contributing.

Even for maintenance u/s 125 cr.P.C., she has to establish her allegations that she was neglected to be maintained by her husband and failed in his martial obligations, her allegations namely driving her out of the matrimonial house by the husband can be challenged stating that she has abandoned her matrimonial home on her own for the reasons best known to her  and that the husband is ready even now to take her back and maintain her properly with due care and love but it is she who is reluctant about it.  You have to engage a prudent lawyer to defend your case properly and challenge her allegations to get justice if truth is in your side.

Wife can reside in the property of her parents in law, if her husband is also residing there.

Hi,

Wife of son or daughter in law has right to claim her share in the share of her predeceased husband in the intestate property of the deceased father in law.

You may read these article for a better understanding of right to maintenance in India:
