getting probate is it compulsory in karnataka

is getting probate certificate in challenged will compulsory in karnataka state?

Any one please give me the right I am more confused about this?

Probation of Will is not mandatory.  Obtaining probate is advisable, in cases where there is a probability of the validity of the Will being contested in the future on any ground.

1. Legally it is NOT mandatory to Probate a WILL in Karnataka state.

2. However, IF the WILL is defective (in any way) or is objected by other legal heirs of deceased, THEN the WILL shall be required to be proved and probate shall be of no help.

If The property comes under the metropolitan limit then it is must to probate
