hi

i have given a post dated cheque to my mother in law as a gift , but now coz of her ill behaviour towards me i don't want to get it cleared and i ask her to give back my cheque she refuses to return. if my mother in law put the cheque in clearing and cheque gets dishonour because of insufficient balance can she file a court case against me or can she put pressure on me in any way to claim the cheque money. how can i save myself. as i dont want to give the gift. please suggest me .

Hello!

Write a letter to her immediatley asking her to return the cheque back to you immedialtely thereby giving the reason for such action. Also ask your bank for stop payment. Maintain sufficient balance in your bank account for the amount of cheque issued. so that you can avoid cheque bouncing case.

further you may call on the below number for legal assiatance.

You must give letter to your mother in law for said  facts immediatly and then send letter to bank for stop payment of said issued cheques.
