Gift deed to mother

My wife filed a 498A case on me. I know that she has done it for my property. I have only one house where my parents are currently staying. I want to give it as gift to my mother so that atleast they will have some shelter to stay in this old age. Is it legal to do that now? Suggestions please.

There is nothing illegal in gifting your house to your mother while s. 498A case is pending.

Thanks archana. Why i explicity asked this question is- my wife is looking for a share in that house which is the main motto behind her 498A, divorce and maintenance case.
