"Dr.M.Veerappa Moily, Minister of Law and Justice will lay the foundation stone of the International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ICADR) here today. ICADR has been trying to spread awareness regarding settlement of disputes, commercial or otherwise, through Arbitration, Conciliation and Mediation outside the Courts. It has from time to time organized several Seminars, Conferences, Workshops, Training programmes and Educational Programmes to popularize and propagate ADR all over India. ICADR held 87 Seminars/Workshops and Conferences so far, out of which 7 Conferences were of International level. ICADR has trained 9600 persons so far as Arbitrators/Mediators from 1998 to 2010.
The proposed new building of ICADR will consist of an Auditorium having about 250 seats designed on the pattern of Vigyan Bhawan, a Convention Centre, Arbitration Rooms, Mediation Rooms with break-away rooms for separate meetings with both are parties. The building will also have facilities like videoconferencing, transcripttion etc."
