Joint will

Me and my wife jointly own a plot of residential land and  wish to will it to our younger son on death of both of us. Please suggest a legal format for the same.

ps: is it first necessaary to make wills by each partner to to leave it to the surviving partner or is it automatic?or whether it is possible to incorporate this aspect in the comman joint will?
