is it a will written in favour of blood relation is essential or not.

No, will can be written in any one's favor.blood relation is not required.

Yes.  If property is testator's self-acquired property then the testator can execute the will in any one's favour. blood relation is not required.  But the ancestral property comes under self-acquired property according to generations.
