Anoop Idicula   13 August 2015

Lawyer needed for special situation

My name is Anoop Idicula and married in Aug 21, 2005.

I am based in Abu Dhabi, UAE while my wife is in Canada. We have a daughter aged 5 years old. She is with my wife in Canada.

Due to various personal issues I decided to separate and divorce. This was about two years back, however no progress has been made. Since then many things has occured. I have summarized as follows

- Filed for divorce in UAE. The case is still in court.

- They send me a separation document in Canada. However this was accepted.

- They are keeping my daughter away from me.

- I have converted to Islam.

- My daughter is Canadian by birth and my wife has applied for Canadian passport.

I currently dont have an assigned lawyer in Canada, however I am looking for one in the process.

I am looking for a lawyer in India to understand the following and to continue with filing a divorce:

- How to file for divorce here. Will the divorce documents from UAE and if the separation is agreed in Canada, help for the process here.

- If I intend to remarry, what is the possibilty? Considering I am a Muslim now will it have an implications?

Regards

Anoop Idicula
