Maternity leave

Hai Experts , Is it unlawful if we ask a employee to resign one company and ask for new job assignment to another company in same group during Maternity period time ?

Dear querist,

Legally and morally this is wrong, assigning completely different set of responsibility to a pregnant lady.

This is against and scope and provision of THE MATERNITY BENEFIT ACT, 1961.
