In case the nominee is a legal heir/successor as per provisions of personal law that applies he/she may do the needful to provide share of other legal heirs/successors to them and keep his/her share…

In case the nominee is sole legal heir/successor then she may submit requisite docs e.g; death certificate / legal heir certificate and become legitimate owner..

In case the nominee is not a legal heir/successor he/she may do the needful to handover the property to legal heirs/successors of original owner.

You are on which side; Legal heirs, society office bearers…

Go thru Society Act in the state, Model Bye laws, Rules as per Bye Law, society bye laws framed in accordance with  Act/Model Bye laws...

You should get your answers...

Or refer the matter to a very able senior LOCAL counsel of unshakable repute and integrity specializing in society/civil matters and having successful track record ….. and worth his/her salt …engaged by you or society with all record for a considered opinion…
