Obc status

I, at the age 28 years; joined Govt. of India service as group-C employee and entered in Group-A service at the age of 44 years. I do not have any other source of income. My wife is a home maker. I belongs to a caste which is listed in OBC Central/ state list. I want to know, which criteria will decide my son's Creamy Layer status? 1. My Status 2. My Salary 3. Both 4. Anything else

It depends upon rules framed by each State Government. Usually your salary and your status that is your category taken into consideration while deciding whether you and your child comes under OBC category.
