Outsourced labour

Dear friends,

If a Company employs Outsourced labour for the purpose of Housekeeping, Security etc. apart from The Contract Labour ( Regulation & Abolition ) Act, 1970,  which other Acts /Regulations would be applicable ?

Would appreciate if you could share some notes/write ups with regards to Outsourced labour.

Thanks & Regards,
Ramanathan

Dear Friend,

The incidental and welfare Acts like Minimum Wages Act, PF Act, ESI/WC Act, Payment of Wages Act, Bonus Act etc. are applicable to Contract Labour or Outsourced Labour. Further the employee can take recourse under ID Act also.

You need to register yourself under "THE INTER-STATE MIGRANT WORKMEN (Regulation of Employment) AND Conditions of Service) ACT, 1979

Dear Friend,

Registration under ISMW Act as said by Shri Vivekananda is necessary if only more than 5 workers engaged are migrant workers.
