My father has changed his name from ABC to EFGH
He has made affidavit
Tehsildar Document (gujarat - bhavnagar city)
He has also given advertisement in newspaper about name change.
When he went to submit the same in gazette the gazette rejected the application saying that only 26 characters are allowed including spaces.
His new name is big consisting of 5 words (more than 26 characters)
I need his new name to be reflected in his passport. Only after this i can add his new name to my passport.
Due to gazette i'm a bit stuck up.
Can u help me as to what can be done to clear gazette issue. Can we get any document stating that old name = new name = same person.
Based on that we can do the name change in passport & apply for new passport.
Not very clear about this as in gujarat no one is ready to assist.
would be of immense help if you can put some light on this.
