Petty offence affect on student visa

The sole purpose of the PCC is to identify any criminal records that an individual may have against their name and provides a clearance certificate if such records are clear. Most countries require a PCC for student visa.
When it comes to student visa every country has specific rules and regulations. The US, however, has become very strict when it comes to accepting student visas. The new rules require full disclosure from the applicant and concealing information might not be in your best interest.
It is suggested that everyone applying for a student visa must also submit a PCC with it. The USA have made it mandatory to submit a PCC while applying for an immigrant visa.
And even if your offence shows up in the PCC it would not be considered serious enough to reject a visa application. However it is advised to stay true to the facts during the police check, while visiting the embassy and visa interview.
