What is the procedure to do the POA in Maharashra..........
POA has to be registered there or can get notarized...... Pls guide me......

POA should be Regd. A regd. POA can save both of you from a lot of future litigations. As per law for purchase of land in the name of another person POA is not required. However in case of sale of land regd. POA is required.

One of the lawyer in Maharastra said that the POA can be given only in Blood relation and cannot given to others..........
Is it true?????

Yes it may be. Many states has imposed the restriction of GPA in blood relation, because people were using GPA as sale deed and govt. was loosing Stamp duty. You should contact to a local lawyer.
