Hi,

My father is making a General Power of Attorney in the name of my mother. Can my mother withdraw money from bank account of my father?

Technically, she should be able to.
However, in my personal experience, some banks have given me a tough time with the format of the general POA.  Some banks even have their own formats for the POA specific for the purpose of operating accounts. Consult with the bank.

You need a Specific Power Of Attorney for Bank Purpose.

U read a Power of Attorney and see the all condition otherwise u make a specific power of attorney for bank purpose and u write your Bank A/C No., Bank Name, Branch Name, limitation of withdraw money from bank etc.... AND give one copy of PoA  at bank then u withdraw money from bank.
