We have 7/12 of an Agri Land in one of the Village in Navsari which is in name of my Late Grandfather (Died in 2008). We want to transfer that Land to his sons Name (My Father). We currently reside in Mumbai.
We had put up an application with the Mamledar Registration Office in Navsari with required docs in proper Format. But the application was put on hold stating that we want to know how he became a Farmer. We were busy that time as our Grandmother was not well & later she expired so we could not address for later years.
Now should we apply with Fresh Application of File an Appeal with the registration office on that same application. We met a Lawyer who said you will have to go for an Appeal for that same Application only. You cannot file new one
Also if I filke new Application we require Pedhinaama (Heritance certicate) which is made by Local Village Talati. However he is not ready to make it for us even after providing 3 Village persons as Witnesses. He says yol reside in Mumbai so I cant make. You make from Mumbai & to make it in Mumbai is a long process & expensive. My Fathers Birth certificate also indicates his birth in that Village itself which I feel should be handy proof for him.
Is it correct way of going forward in this case of Transfer of Agri Land in my Fathers Name ?
Kindly provide proper solution as per Gujarat Land Laws
