Which of the 2 legal documents safeguard and protect the rights and interest of a tenant : A registered Tenancy Agreement or Rent Receipts.

Should a dispute arise and In the absence of a registered Tenancy Agreement, can the tenant rely upon the rent receipts issued to him by the landlord as proof of his tenancy rights to the tenanted premises occupied by him.

among two documents the most important one is a Registered Tenancy Agreement and rent receipts also required.

yes you can rely upon the rent recipts, if any dispute arise in the absence of Tenancy agreement .

tenancy agreement is crucial document. however, you can rely upon rent recipts in the absence of tenancy agreement
