Property from ancestors

Hi,

My maternal grand father has got some property. But he passed away in 1993. My maternal grandmother passed away in 2009. But there is no will made. My mother has one brother and one sister. So 3 siblings.

My mothers brother got 4 children all are major and all married.

My mothers sister got 3 children all major two married.

I am the only daughter of my mother.

Now the property of my grand father is being divided.

My uncle makes 10 parts

among that 8 parts to him his wife his children and his daughter in laws.

rest two parts one for my mother and one for my mothers sister.

Is this division correct according to the law.

Now they want my mothere to sign for this agreement.

It would be helpful if some one can clearly tell me how this division should take place correctly.

I hope i had provided enough information. If still any more information is required i am ready to give as much i know.

Regards

If it is the self acquired property of your maternal grandfather then, legally there should be 3 equal shares for the brother and 2 sisters. Your mother is entitled to 1/3rd share in the property.
