Property share among sisters

Dear Sir/Madame,

My in-laws have two daughters (no sons) and they have about 35 acres of land and other properties. This property was inherited by my father-in-law from his father as inheritance (not by will or gift). My father-in-law was the only son of his father and his sister has given written consent that she do not hold any share in the property.

Now my wife's yonger sister has somehow managed to win her parents confidence and now my inlaws wish to give entire property to my sister-in-law. Is there any chance that my wife can challange this decision in court for her share in property. And if so how much share she can sought after.

Seeking your valuable advice,

Regards

Since the property is not self-acquired, your wife will inherit fifty percent on demise of both parents.
