Proceedings before an Appellate authority empowered under RTI are civil in nature. CPC provisions are applicable. Also, dealings by PIO and Appellate authrity wothin the Department are NOT governed by CrPC provisions as they exercise quasi-judicial authority. |

1. To the exception of Penalty & Disciplinary proceedings /action, there is no other Punishment possible under RTI.
