Punjab Shops and Establishments Act

hi Preety,

There is no Specific kind of Exemptions given for IT / ITES industries from registeration under said Act, but how-ever government of State has power to grant an expemption to specified establishements.
And this for your information that IT / ITES will come under the companies Act but doesn't fall under State- Shops & Establishments Act.as per my knowledge

Till now I have found that IT/ ITES industry is exempted from Sec.9 & 10 only by notification dt. 18.11.2005 and not from Registration requirement..

If it is a company regd under Companies Act, 1956 but  persons employed therein are not entitled to benefits under Factories Act, then Punjab Shops and Establishments Act will  be applicable.

Pl correct me if u find so.

where Factories Act is not applicabe for the companies registered under companies Act, 1956. then Concern State-Shops & Establishment Act is applicable, for the given case Punjab Shops and Establishments Act is applicable.
