Purchase minor property

My cousin is 19 years old. He has a share in our property. Can i buy his share or property? If yes what is the procedure.  If NO what is the work around?? Please help

you can buy by way of court order to sale the minor property.

DEAR SURYA,

you can purchase the share of your cousin and being major he can directly alienate his undivided share in the property to you, but it is required to specifically mentioned that the property is being sold for his family necessities.

If he has completed the age of 18 years, he cannot be considered as a minor and as such you need not worry about purchasing his property at all.
