Query on multiple Recongnised PF Accounts

Please let me know whether a person can have multiple Recognised Provident Fund Accounts as per PF Act ?

In other words, can a person go on opening PF accounts with new employer every time he switches jobs, WITHOUT transfering the old PF balance or WITHOUT withdrawing the amount from his old PF account?

He can do so. Since every employer has separate PF code therefore as and when a perosn joins he will be alloted a new PF Number. But he should transfer his old PF accumulation to new PF account.

This problem will be over as soon as NSSN number is alloted to every member by PF department.

He can do so.  He can deprive himself of the pension contribution of previous PF accounts.  he can create temptation of fraud of his previous account and them keep on cursing his luck.
