Question on power of attorney

Hi All,

I own a flat in Chennai and plans to rent out the flat. I am planning to go abroad shortly and is looking to give PoA to my father who lives in Kerala. 

My question is " is PoA registered in Kerala applicable for executing rent agrement of flat in Chennai"

Yes if the recital to that effect is present in the deed.

Dear Promod,

Any GPA holder can act on behalf of his principal in respect of the properties assigned to him by his principal.

If it is a registered GPA, then there will not be any lacuna legally.
