Dear All,
Recently (on 13th,May,2011) Supreme court has given the judgement that ''if tenent pays the rent regularly then upto 5 years landlord can not ask him to vacate the premises''. Will this applicable to the rents above 3500/- also. (I mean will this applicable to Transfer of Property act). Justice Bhandari and Deepak kumar have given this judgement.

The judgment is seems to be indicative in nuture that there shuould not be break up or discontunity in the payment for 5 years regularly then the landlord can not remove the tenant.It is applicable irrespective of the amount of tenancy.
