Regarding obc category

Am a doctor applying for a government college for job as a senior resident..i belong to obc category by virtue of birth and income of father..who is a retired bsnl employee.am married to a doctor who also belong to same community but whose annual income is more than 6 lakh..i want to know wether I still belong to obc category.

Community is nothing to do with the job.U can get ur community certificate from d concern.Regarding income ,ur wife's income is separate and ur income is separate.

Refer to the published rules and relate with clauses pertaining to creamy layer.

If you are eligible as per rules you can stake claim.

If you are not, then you can't and you should not.

Income of spouse cannot be seen in isolation.

What do u mean by this...does it mean spouse income ie husbands income is not considered while claiming category...
