Regarding will

Dear Members, One woman, living saperately from husband following marital dispute, wants to make a will wishing all her properties to go to her sole minor daughter. Now,she holds all her properties jointly with her aged mother and as such can't specify all her properties in her will. Can she make a will without specifying the details of properties as those are joint property. Please advise.

Yes. There is no legal bar except Muslim personal law.

It is advisable to be specific and not vague.

If she holds all properties jointly with her aged mother then what difficulty is there to her to mention schedule properties .who obstructs her. Let she mention all the properties in will and register it.ifany one

Contact a local advocate and state in the will your specific share in joint family property with your mother and get the will witnessed by your mother.
