Registration Charges in Court Cases

Hello Everybody,

I would like to know the applicable registration value in case the court fixes the sale value because of the 25 years old dispute between two parties.  Is the present guideline value or the value fixed by court is used for calculation.  For example - the court fixes the sale value as Rs.100 and present guideline value is Rs.200/- on which value one has to calculate the stamp duty.  Hope, I am clear.

Warm Regards.

In similar cases, according to recent judgments of supreme court and various other high courts, the stamp duty has to be calculated on the guideline of value of property on the date of registration.

Ramesh Sir,

Thank you very much for your kind reply.  The delay is caused by Judiciary and the people who trust the system has to suffer.  I hope, there is a way around this problem.  Once again many many thanks Ramesh Sir.
