Reliability to LCI Posts: Edit Feature

Dear Admin,
There is a provision to edit LCI Posts after the post is submitted. Many websites have such an option. However, when a post is edited, the DATE STAMP (time and date of edit) is also updated.

On LCI, a member can edit a post even after replies are made quoting that post, and insist that they did not make the allaged statement. The date stamp is not updated.

Since this is a law forum, such a lapse can have serious implications. Please look into this matter as members are already abusing the EDIT feature. Either do not allow posts to be edited after posting. OR, the date and time stamp should be updated to the time of edit, to avoid any resulting controversy about the ORIGINAL contents of the post.

This is a serious matter and I request you look into the same.
