I think they are fair eough. No need to repeal.

Is it not that they provide undue benefit to the tenants and it is only due to protection of tenants by the Rent Legislations, they extract lacs of rupees from the landlord as pugree for vacation of their premises and in some of the cases the sums are charged by the tenants for closed premises (which are otherwise of no use for tenant except to realise money from the landlord).
Also, there are instances of anti social elements purchasing properties from landlords at throwaway prices and getting the same vacated from tenants in unlawful manner.
Moreover, the courts are burdened with rent petitions most of which are avoidable but are there because of greed on the part of the tenants.
