Hello sir,

Section 225 of the Indian Penal Code 1860 provides for Resistance or obstruction to lawful apprehension of another person.

To narrow down the punishments laid down under the section, there are 5 different terms of imprisonment which have a mention under section 225 as follows:-

  1. In case of Resistance or obstruction to the lawful apprehension of any person, or, rescuing him from lawful custody, the offender is liable for up to 2 years of imprisonment or fine or both.

  2. Where the person is charged with an offence punishable with life imprisonment or imprisonment for 10 Years, shall be liable to undergo 3 years of imprisonment including a fine

  3.  If the person is charged with a capital offence, he is liable to undergo 7 years of imprisonment with fine

  4.  In the case where the person is sentenced to life imprisonment or imprisonment for 10 Years, or upwards, he is liable to undergo 7 years of imprisonment with fine

  5.  Where the person to be apprehended or rescued or attempted to be rescued, is under sentence of death, he is liable for life imprisonment or imprisonment not exceeding 10 years with fine

Hope I was able to solve your query
Thanks & Regards
Nihal

@ Mbb M,

What do you mean by the term "vijarana time" used by you ?

Did you really intended to reproduce provision of Section 225 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 or any other Act/ Law ?

Did you not find Section 225 available with Google ?

What is the purpose / your locus standi of giving examination ?
