Transfer of personal land to stock in trade of firm

My brother and me intend to transfer our individuals lands  as stock in trade to a partnership firm of which only two of us are partners. This firm shall be carrying out development on the said land for housing purposes. Does the firm need to pay any stamp duty or registration fees on such transaction. Also we want the land to be mutated in the name of the said firm. The said land is in U.P. Kindly reply at the earliest.

No need of paying stamp duty. You can put it in the partnership firm by a simple MOU.
