I am salaried person from Pune looking for office space in Mumbai for my future legal career .
An estate agent has recently shown me old offices in South Mumbai which are in Pagdi buildings.
I believe that under Mah Rent control act, tenancy rights can sold by current tenant to another [not ownership rights though] by paying Pagdi to the current tenanl with consent of landloard & registered.
Q-1: Can soneone confirm that such transfer of rights conferr good tenancy title to new occupant as that of old.
Q-2: Do nationalized [or co-operative ] banks give loan for Pagdi. If yes, which ones.
