validity of an agreement

hello.
Three years ago my mom has done an agreement for the land sale in which time period was not mentioned, perhaps now the buyer has paid half advance amount and taking long time for registration.
my query is if time is not mentioned in an agreement how long it's valid

If the time is not mentioned in agreement then there is no cap on the validity of agreement as far time frame in concerned , in case of no time limit reasonable time comes in picture.

You can send legal notice to the buyer giving time one of two month time for registration.

'Buyer Beware' applies to property deals.

It shall be appropriate to get proper legal opinion from a very able local senior counsel of unshakable repute and integrity specializing in revenue/property/civil/DRT matters and well versed with LOCAL applicable rules/laws and having successful track record…. and worth his/her salt , before signing or making payment.

This may cost some FEE but can defend long term interest and hard earned monies.

This applies equally good for seller as well...

The inferences are to be drawn from communications already made/made now under proper acknowledgment on record.

Instead of remaining silent the seller may also act.

In future consult a very able counsel as already suggested above.
