Young Leaders Programme from ISB Hyderabad 

Indian School of Business introduced a fresh perspective to gaining expertise in Management - the Young Leaders Programme (YLP) for undergraduate students. As part of the programme, the B-school will mentor fresh graduates for two years in their work after the college. Students, after the two-year mentorship, can come back to ISB to pursue the regular postgraduate programme. 

Eligibility: 
An applicant must be in his/her pre-final year of graduation. The academic talent is appreciated from all fields - arts, science, commerce and more. This will also be open to international students. For getting selected to this programme, students should clear GMAT and the same will be valid after two years for admission into the PGP module. 

Application process - Stage 1 
Candidates applying to Stage 1 will need to submit :

  • Academic details
  • Non-academic interests
  • 1 Essay
  • A 90 seconds video
  • Resume
  • 1 Evaluation
  • Application fee of ` 1,000

Application process - Stage 2 
Candidates shortlisted from Stage 1 will then be asked to submit:

  • A GMAT score
  • 3 Essays
  • 1 Evaluation

Application process - Stage 3 
Candidates shortlisted from Stage 2 will be invited to the ISB campus for the Final Selection Process which will include an interview.
The YLP admit, in year 2 of work, will be entitled to contest for a merit based scholarship (and a need based scholarship, where applicable) vide a separate application and interview process.

  • March - Pre-final year: Apply to Stage 1 of YLP
  • July - Final year: Shortlisted candidates to apply to Stage 2 with GMAT scores
  • September - Final year: Final Selection Process on campus
  • October - Final year: Admission Offers
  • Summer - Year 1 of work: Attend YLP Learning Weekend 1, complete graduation and start your job
  • Winter - Year 1 of work: Attend YLP Learning Weekend 2
  • Summer - Year 2 of work: Attend YLP Learning Weekend 3
  • Winter - Year 2 of work: Attend YLP Learning Weekend 4
  • Winter - Year 2 of work: Apply for ISB scholarship and attend interview
  • April - Year 2 of work: Join ISB PGP

Learning Programmes: 
The learning and assessment modules have been specifically designed keeping in mind the special needs of young undergraduates stepping into the corporate world. Every six months, the admits will attend weekend contact programmes on campus. All the sessions will be conducted by world-class faculty from the ISB. 

These sessions will focus, among other things, on:

  • Understanding and enhancing the Leadership quotient
  • Understanding the ingredients of Business School education
  • Exposing the candidate to diverse career options and opportunities
  • Learning and Thinking frameworks for approaching problems in the corporate world
  • Exclusive mentoring and counseling sessions with experts across domains
  • Personality profiling and career assessment tests
  • Communication, Relationship Management and Presentation Skills enhancement
  • Networking with YLP peers

The modules will also involve assignments to be submitted by the admit. Such assignments will be evaluated and individual feedback will be provided to the candidates. Further, an Evaluation Summary will be maintained for each admit to record his/her growth and to point out scope for professional development.
