Property sold without our consent

My Father died in 2006. My Father's brother sold 1.5 acre land which was in the name of my Grandmother.

We were totally unaware of it. We were not informed and no sign was got from us.The land was sold in 2008.

What can be done legally regarding this?.

dear querist ,

you are still strong in this case as you are lawfull sharer of the land, you can file a civil suit regarding the cancellation of the sale deed and ask for the partition of the property as the property was ancessostral property and your fathers brother can not sale it as your father had also equal right in it and after your fathers death his share will be transferred top his legal heirs.Supreme court is very strict on such family property frauds and had given few landmark decisions over it ,the sale was done in year 2008 you are still under limitation so make it faster to get your rights ,feel free to call on mobile i will guide you thru the process or any legal help.
