Bonus eligibility

We are engaging contract labourers for our manufacturing process and some of the employees were resigned / left.  whether the left contract employees are eligible for bonus,  or we can stop the bonus payment for them?

You have to pay pro rata bonus for the number of days each employee has worked in the accounting year.

Minimum 30 days working in a year is required for eligiblity of  bonus .below 30 days working not eligible for bonus.minimum 8.33% of  basic wages  celing amount Rs.3500.

i agree with my friend but qoustion is whether contract labour entitled for bonus ,any one provide if any judgement , case referance.

Contractual labour are eligible to get bonus only form their contractor, if contractor fails to comply  the act, then principal employer will not be responsible for the
