Is a christian working woman entitled to maintenance?

I have a couple of questions: 1] Does the Christian marriage act allow a working woman to maintenance? If so, how is it calculated? 2] How is maintenance calculated for a minor child. 3] How does the court look upon visitation rights of the father if the minor child is not interested in meeting with the father and is frightened by him.

Dear Arjun

According to maintinence section 125 Crpc:

if the wife is not able to maintain herself, she is liable to mainenence by husband, as per your query the wife is working so she is not able to get maintinence.

Minor Child is entitled to get maintinence and the claculate by Court no one can say, it is discrition of court & according to court opinion, in practice it may be 40 % of the income of Husband/Father for Wife & Child.

feel free to call

Maintenance is decided on many factors. If the earnings are not enough then she is entitled for maintenance.

If a working women has sufficent means to maintain herself  than she is not entitled to maintanence .As for the child as both are working both would have to maintain the child and this would be decided taking into consideration the income of both .The father is entitled to visitation rights and nobody can stop him not even the court . .
